Ovid,

I did not intend to deceive. Please don't attribute to malice
that which can be explained by ignorance :-)

I'm happy for us to get to know one another if that is what you
like.

I was unaware of your unseen code review. I am sure the unseen
review is thorough and detailed, and that the comments in the
link above are your distillation of that unseen, thorough review.

You are correct that I didn't put my preconceptions of sql-ledger
aside when I read your notes on sql-ledger. I've concluded that
sql-ledger is the best among nola, Appgen MyBooks, and Intuit
QuickBooks for cost of ownership, support, features, reliability
and performance.

Some of these considerations got in the way of appreciating
the summary list of your code review.

Nevertheless, here's where I disagree:

   Ovid's point My counterpoint

Poorly written Too broad, there's a range of code quality

Has security concerns Too general to be taken seriously,
could be said of any db backed web service.
S-L security is addressed on an ongoing
basis with feedback from users and
                          admins.

Is non-portable Except to Linux, Windows and MacOS X

Difficult to test Relative to what? S-L is as difficult
                          as all other bookkeeping and
                          report generation db backed web
                          services.

Will be difficult to Is being extended by users and the main
extend developer on a regular basis

Thanks for your initial review. Thanks for posting your detailed
response to my comments the sql-ledger mailing list.
