Yes, that's why you need to double-check the gateway and DNS settings in the Squeezebox itself. It connects directly to the Internet to get to SqueezeNetwork. Without proper DNS and gateway settings in the Squeezebox, it can never reach it. Your firewall settings will only influence how it connects through SlimServer. Since you can turn your PC off when you connect to SqueezeNetwork, the firewall in the PC plays no role.
