Actually, I have been experiencing these problems for the past 3 days. 
There is nothing wrong with your ISP - really! (even though many of the
posts are suggesting that.)
At first, I noticed sluggish response to any remote control commands,
but later after powering down the box, it would take minutes to connect
to SN.

Until they fix whatever is wrong with the SN service, just revert to
using SlimServer.  You will need to stop the box from automatically
connecting on power-up, by pressing the <LEFT> button, then you can
manually select SlimServer as your initial source.
