I am still having this problem, but I ONLY have it with the SB3 on which I updated the firmware. My other SB3, which has the same settings (and for which I previously entered the PIN)connects to Squeezenetwork without delay, whether my Slimserver PC is on or off.
The "updated firmware" SB3, on the other hand, behaves just as others here have reported, switching to the small font, then going dark.
