No, SC and SN are completely different from each other. Some SC Internet Radio streaming (and ALL music services) require SN. For these in use with SC, SC uses SN in the background. But there are many streams within SC that work independent of SN. If you cannot connect your SB3 to your SC server then something is very wrong with your network setup. Start SC on your computer then from your SB3 look for "connect to SC". If it connects then navigate to Internet Radio > Staff Picks and see if it plays.
