Because those services won't let a random bit of code on a random computer to talk to them and use their services. The service providers want/need access to be tightly controlled.
All the code for Squeezebox Server is supplied to the end user. If you wanted to remove the mysqueezebox.com broker from the equation then those service providers would at the very least require Logitech to not ship the source to the users and provide compiled code as part of Squeezebox Server. That wouldn't fit very well with the Squeezebox/Slim Devices ethos. -- andynormancx Yes, it will. Yes, all of them. Yes, SoftSqueeze as well. What ? I SAID ALL OF THEM ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ andynormancx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17417 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74720 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
