I checked this thread for the first time in several days and I'm glad to see you've managed to sort it out. It looks that way, anyway.
It's distressing to hear the way Bell (whatever the full name of your ISP) treated you. I mean in terms of basic service and *more importantly* in the sense that they *-ra...@#$ed*- your router's firmware. I can see reasons for them to do that--but overall they are NOT treating you properly. Pardon me for veering off on a political tangent, but you may have recourse with your province or national government. I don't know what the regulatory environment is actually like there, but I have the perception that Canada looks after its citizens (in terms of consumer protection) better than we do. You might look into filing a complaint against them. At least find out your options. Once you know your options (if any) you can inform your ISP that you intend to file a written complaint with the appropriate bodies. That often gets their attention. In Texas we have strong consumer protection regarding power, natural gas, and phone service at the State level, but ISP regulation is _nil_. That needs to change. Someone needs to haul these ISPs onto the carpet, either the states or by the federal government. It -will- happen. Anyway, I'm glad it's working out. Please let us know if the situation changes. -- Danny8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Danny8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77280 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
