That's what I thought, but when I tried it I ended up only with a login
session on the remote_host. The same happened with -R. I did't see
anything listening on either port on either system in either case.
However I'd been doing my tests with an out-of-date ~/.ssh/known_hosts
file, and I wasn't reading the warning message that said: "Local port
forwarding is disabled to avoid attacks by corrupted servers."
Now that I've updated my known_hosts file, everything's working fine!
