Joe,
What you seem to be looking for is a VPN, or
private virtual network, implemented with ssh.

VPNs basically create a permanent connection
between two locations, through which you are
able to do your business, whether it's web
browsing the other side's archives, sending 
email to them, or transfering files.

It's doable, and DataFellows might even have the 
product. I would ask them directly.
