If you haven't gotten it fixed by by now, try pushing the CUDA button
on the motherboard. It is a little gray, black, or red button on a
module that is about 3/8"x3/8" near the battery. That is the module
that allows the unit to start with the power key on the keyboard.

I have always had to push this button to reset the board when I have
replaced a battery that is really dead (Below 3.8 volts). In fact, it
is quite possible that the power supply was never the problem, but
the battery was instead. My 3000/180/DT exhibited the same problem
till I used Sherlock to look for "StarMax"+"troubleshooting to find
StarMax's FAQ
(http://www.mcg.mot.com/cfm/templates/services.cfm?PageID=607) site
that explained all this.
