But ST-Fax plus Pace Solo cost more than �200.

I'll admit to the same thing. I didn't buy them solely for faxes in
Independent mode. I also wanted to combine this with Internet access. But I
could have got that for aroun one quarter of what I actually paid. So its
around �150 added into the purchase price for the key extra feature that as
yet I can only just use, with streaking and squashing.
