Thanks Mircea
I recompiled the 2.4.1 kernel three times without success, until I
discovered
my problem, which I don't know how to fix.
I'm not booting from lilo. The Debian install changed that to another system
which I have read about, but I can't find reference to again. The problem is
that I'm still booting 2.2.16-storm which can't use agpgart.
Can some-one point me to info on the Debian non-lilo boot process?
