While we're all adding data points to this..

I've seen UNIX type 7 keyboard lockups on my 2fs as well.. It was really bad when I had the mouse plugged in to the keyboard, it's less frequent now (once a week or so), but it always seems to happen mid email. I believe it still responds to CTRL-Power, but other keyboard inputs are ignored.

I just updated firmware to the -05 patch last night.. we'll see if it happens again.

Sorry about the blank reply.. I ment to put in it that we have some Sun
Ray 2's with Sun Type 7 keyboards as well that are "locking up".. It
also appears that sometimes a Type 7 keyboard on a Sun Ray 1G does the
same thing. (Have not verified it yet, but it was reported to me.)

Just a data point - this is all on SunRay 1G though:

The following keyboards work for me:
UNIX Type 6
US English Type 7

The following will occationally hang or repeat keypresses, which can be
worked around by power-cycling the ray:
UNIX Type 7

I'm currently using a UNIX Type 7 which I took from a colleague to
better notice when and how it would hang. I think it has been two months
or so since last time - he could reproduce the problem a lot more often,
often several times a week. Exchanging rays did not change this - it
seemed to be a keyboard problem. After he got my UNIX Type 6 and I took
his UNIX Type 7 he did not see any more keyboard lockups, while I
managed to get a few.
