any update to this. We just put out about 40 new Sun Ray2's and the Type 7 keyboard and about half of them are experiencing frequent lockups...
We have preliminary builds of firmware that will tolerate keyboard errors that would have caused earlier firmware to consider the keyboard broken. Sun Support should be able to get that firmware to you as "binary relief", which means that it's not nicely wrapped up in patch format, it's just a bunch of firmware image files that you can copy into place and then publish to your Sun Rays. Open a support call, file an escalation against CR 6501834 and tell them that you want the binary relief firmware images that have been created under CR 6519512. If the customer feedback on the binary relief over the next couple of weeks says that it resolves the keyboard lockup then this firmware change will be included in the next patches for SRSS 3.1 and 3.1.1. I don't know when those patches will be released, my guess is mid-March. OttoM. __ ottomeister Disclaimer: These are my opinions.
