I've had this little nagging problem going on with my cookies for about 4 months no. I'm running OS 10.2.8. Not sure what prompted it and I've just kind of lived with it but it is a pain. So I'm hoping somebody here might have a clue. I'm using Internet Explorer 5.2.3 which I'm sure will get me some flack but that's my story and I'm sticking with it.
What is happening is, there are two sites that whenever I visit, I will be asked whether or not I would like to accept the cookies. Yes I have my browser set to ask me which is what I prefer. But these two websites ask me over and over for the same cookie even though I have accepted it already. The first is the USPS Priority Shipping Label page which I use often when selling cdrw's and other hardware. The extra problem here is that the scroll down window showing all the states for the recipient doesn't display any states. So I have to use the same scroll down for the shipper and count how many items down the proper state is. This works but is a pain in the patuti (sp). It had always worked fine until one day Kapluie (sp). The other site is a Yahoo Group list site but no unusual performance here. I don't think there are other pages that keep asking for the same cookies. All others seem to function normally. What I'm speculating going wrong is that the cookies for at least these two sites are not being stored in the appropriate location, possibly on one of the other hard drives or a Previous OSX System which I have one, but it is on/for a second hard drive as well. I am somewhat reluctant to dump it for fear of what else might be stored there. And with the way OSX intermingles data in Users, Library and System folders, anything can happen. Searching for Cookies using Find in OSX doesn't produce much and no Explorer Cookie Folder. I've run Permissions, Utilities, DW, etc and no fix. So I'm just kinda hoping somebody here might have a clue. Thnx, Dave -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
