I've had this little nagging problem going on with my cookies for about 4
months no. I'm running OS 10.2.8. Not sure what prompted it and I've just
kind of lived with it but it is a pain. So I'm hoping somebody here might
have a clue. I'm using Internet Explorer 5.2.3 which I'm sure will get me
some flack but that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Internet Explorer Mac version is no longer updated except for perhaps Security issues. So sooner or later there will be sites and programs that will no longer work correctly with it. You maybe running into this with sites using new programs or code. I did a manual search of jaguar and find no I E cookies anywhere on the drive.
My Web browser of choice in OSX is Camino. You have to get one of the daily builds and not the older so called stable release. The only sites it doesn't work with is some Microsoft sites requiring passwords. Sorry I can't be of more help. Will S
