You may well be right. Equally I consider it a common courtesy not to use a fraudulent "From: " field that causes me to get an error message whenever I use "Reply/all" without first do-obfuscating said "From: " field. It was experiencing the latter that led to the former, although it was never a conscious intention to reveal to the list the de-obfuscated addresses.
