Can we rename messages somehow? i.e. change the Subject line?

"Edit as New" and then changing the subject, and then sending it to
myself seems a cheesy workaround.

I think you can do this with the extension Headers Tool Lite...

I've been thinking lately about creating an extension that adds
bookmarks to mail. This would allow you to not only store pointers to
messages you want and give them the name you like, but also use a folder
structure independent of the physical storage of the message to help you
structure them to be able to find them back more easily...

I'm sure either Netscape Communicator and/or Mozilla Suite had Bookmarks accessible from the Mail & Newsgroups Screen, so this should be doable!!
