YouTube is still giving me issues. Lots of blank pages and no video

I have media.autoplay.enable set to false. I do not allow cookies for
YouTube. I use a user-agent override with YouTube.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/62.0

You might want to change the platform info for Windows, though it
probably does not matter much.

Rejecting cookies breaks some Web sites. Instead, I makr the file
cookies.sqlite in my profile as read-only. The Web server thinks it is
setting cookies, but those cookies are lost as soon as I terminate
SeaMonkey.

SeaMonkey has settings available in the UI for that:

Edit | Preferences | Privacy & Security | Cookies
Cookie Retention Policy
(o) Accept cookies normally
(•) Accept for current session only
(o) Accept cookies for [nn] days

and

Edit | Preferences | Privacy & Security | Private Data
Clear Private Data
[x] Always clear my private data when I close SeaMonkey
...
When I ask SeaMonkey to clear my private data, it should erase:
...
[x] Cookies

If you use these two settings, you can accept cookies from sites that require them without allowing them to persist past the end of the current session, and you don't have to remember to clear them because SM does so automatically whenever it terminates.

You can also set site-specific cookie-handling policies, as you know.
