No intention to be harsh. But it should have been clear that the context was testing some code supposed to produce a max-rE decode but failing to do so. The question then is why not - is the code buggy or are my expectations wrong (it turned out to be the last). Suggesting to do something completely different *is* completely out of touch with the original message.
