I am trying right now and there is one thing that is very confusing to
me.

The first time I run portmon after a reboot under Capture/Ports I find
the following items:

COM1: Serial0
COM5: Serial2
LPT1: Parallel0

Now I deactivate the COM1 and LPT1 so I capture only the packets from
COM5.

Everything runs ok.

Now I close portmon and the test unit, disconnect the adapter,
reconnect and run portmon again.

Much to my surprise under Capture/Ports now I find 2 COM5, one
identified as Serial2 and the other as Serial4.

With portmon still hooked to the COM5/Serial2 I don't see anything
captured, but if I select the new pair COM5/Serial4 I get some
captures although it appears to be slightly different from the
previous case, this is the case where the test unit does not receive
anything from the serial port.

Now with portmon and the test unit closed I disc/reconn again and now
I have a third pair, COM5/Serial6.

If I try again the disc/reconn phase now the pair COM5/Serial6 has
disappeared while I have now a new COM5/Serial7 item.
