I can't agree with you, Byron.

A decade ago, the Windows OS was 3.11. Where are the support pages on the
Microsoft site for that? They're dropping support for products more and more
rapidly as time progresses.

For a truly successful management of a legacy operating system like System
6, you rely on archivists/enthusiasts and your own ability to research,
preserve and maintain.

Perhaps the saddest story is in the lack of archives for the applications
and programs that ran in System 6. You don't see ANY sites on the web as
repositories for say a Word 4 or a Works 3, or Photoshop 2 and so-on.

I understand it's a legal issue. But a true legacy maintenance system
involves active access to the apps that ran in the environment as well.
