At the Opening Ceremony in Athens, there was a young Greek woman who stood up and 
danced EVERY time a new flag-bearer would enter the stadium. When asked by the people 
behind her if she could cut back somewhat on her enthusiasm, she just glared and 
continued doing her thing.

I'm all for spontaneous cheering and standing (I've done it many times over the 
years), but  common sense and courtesy have to come into play at some point
