What problems of a terminus? Terminus halts just get a "terminus" role in the relation. And if one end of the line isn't a terminus stop, but a normal halt where it just turns back without waiting it doesn't get a terminus role but it's tagged as any other bus stop. With two relations but without roles you lose that information whether it's a terminus or just a halt where it turns back.
