I haven't found the time yet to give Jo's proposal proper consideration, so I'll respond to that and the rest of your mail later. I did want to jump in here, however, just to give you another example: navigation software. It is given a building in the form of an address, and needs this building's associated street so that it can find the route along streets from one to another.
