The idea that the new license is somehow paving the way for OSM to "end up as a commercial thing" is utterly wrong, and whoever claims this should be hit over the head with a large cluebat. However the fact that there seem to more such people than cluebats tells us that somewhere there's a lesson to be learned about communication. It seems that the new license effort, so far, has been a prime example of how *not* to do it.
