Because that makes for an appalling user experience?

If we want to make it the default before FF seems to be up to the job then we'll
just make FF fall back to PL2 as we will already be doing for IE.

And some of us find the conditions G$ put on chrome is a reason NOT to have anything to do with it. It's bad enough the pressure to change for spurious reasons without having OPEN projects like OSM making the same demands :(
