I started the MSI installer from my backup drive I:. Now I have an
empty directory on that drive, called "%APPDATA%" (literally, with the
percent characters!) and an empty sub-directory "The Bat!" under it.

Is that weird or what?

In case it matters, all drives mentioned are fixed harddrives, in fact
I have many partitions on my two physical harddrives.
