The trick with keyboard.sys is that a different phsyical key will
produce the same ascii code. Otherwise, we would just say, they key
next to the one next to "P", when combined with crtl-, will be the
shortcut for ?next new msg". It doesn't work that way the moment you
have SET KEYB (?) command in your autoexec.bat. The keys will be
remapped.

It does matter, and an ascii table is something you can produce within
a few minutes.
