I use ZA-free on my laptop and ZA-pro (not the current version) on my PC, both use TheBat, and I have had absolutely no problems with either computer. I am on cable and would not even consider using cable without firewall protection.
I did not see the post with the former subject line. However, ZA-Pro does rename file attachments if they are suspect. ZA-free renames only one or two suspect attachments. Renaming them permits viewing/using them. I have usually found that .exe created the most alarm in ZA and if I am confident the executable is safe (known sender, after AV scanning), I can rename the file, add the .exe extension and execute it.
