Yeah, like everybody said, you can setup a client bridge. Another thing you can do, if your access point (client side) supports it, is discover the other access point, and click 'join'. Basically, it turns the access point from infrastructure provider to consumer.
dd-wrt does a good job of this. I've bought a few dd-wrt preinstalled access points off ebay with good results. There are at least 2 ways to do it, but I wouldn't necessarily put WDS in there. It provides extra capabilities that you wouldn't necessarily need and takes away half the bandwidth, plus some wireless chips aren't terribly compatible with others with WDS. http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3639271/DD-WRT-Tutorial-3-Building-a-Wireless-Bridge.htm http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WDS (Atheros incompatible with Broadcom) _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list Tech@lopsa.org http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
