+1 here as well for dd-wrt generally.  The boosted wifi strength negated 
my wireless problems I'd been having in this apartment.  Darnedest 
thing, line of sight from router to TV, and open space.  Something 
mysterious between the router and the TV was interfering with the 
wireless.  My wifes Laptop could barely get a strong enough signal to 
stream from my PC (which plugs in direct).  Wii streaming Netflix was 
hopeless.  DD-WRT solved all that with the boosted wireless strength.
