Krystal has approved TCMA as a recipient of monetary donations in memory of her
father, Jim McLane. This will be confirmed in his obituary when it is
published. There can be no immediate disposition of his caving records and
memorabilia until probate of the estate is settled, though Krystal intends to
donate this material to an appropriate repository.

Allen Cobb texted me with that news this morning. I have messaged Krystal with
the news, and suggested that she consider TCMA as an appropriate alternative.

Roger,

You might mention to Krystal that the TCC (Texas Cave Conservancy) has been
disbanded and she might choose the TCMA (Texas Cave Management Association)
instead. Their address is on their website:
http://www.tcmacaves.org/

I am sure they could put donation monies to good use for Texas cavers.

Krystal McLane Cox writes that "in case anyone asks, the family is requesting
that in lieu of flowers, donations in dad's name be made to the Texas Cave
Conservancy. I ran into a wall tonight and it wasted a lot of my precious time.
However, the information will all be published in this Sunday's Chronicle. That
will be the Houston Chronicle. I am also running an obit in the Tullahoma News
in Tullahoma, TN, where he grew up. My mom asked me tonight if I want his obit
published in the NSS News and I would like to do that as well. First, I have to
reach the print deadline and then I will be able to discuss that with whomever
I need to. Thank you so much! "
