I am having trouble connecting to Hotmail with the Webmail extension. It just times out after a minute or 2 of trying to make contact. I am using the hotmail 1.2.30b7 extension and it shows "connect:host contacted sending login information" in the status bar. The green indicator just goes across the bar at the bottom for a couple of minutes, then a message pops up saying Thunderbird at the top with the Thuderbird logo on it and says "Connection to server local host timed out".
This is on a hotmail account I set up under an older version of Thunderbird and an older version of Web Mail and the hotmail extension for it. The same thing happens with a new account set up on another hotmail account, a Web Mail account I set up this evening. I noticed a difference between the 2, in account settings and the list of accounts the old one shows up as Web Mail - [email protected] and the new account I set up shows up as [email protected] on localhost, don't know if this has any effect or not. Web Mail worked just fine on my Web Mail account I had set up for my yahoo account, so I am thinking it is something wrong with the hotmail extension, since the yahoo account works fine with the yahoo extension. Any ideas what's wrong?
