For account name difference it is just cosmetic different as the user can rename these accounts to what they would like to be displayed. The TB2 version defaulted to Web Mail - username@domain and TB3 defaults to username@domain on localhost.
Here is another thought, If the initial message or any other message is rather large several megs; it can also cause this problem. I am having to use a network.ftp.idleConnectionTimeout;10000 when using the Hotmail extension especially on some heavily graphic emails. The TB3 default is 300. This change under the config editor Check the previous suggestions first then you can this.
