Thanks for this information Eugene, I was really wondering about the default to just username@domain on localhost in TB3 and that clears the question up nicely. I want to thank the others who posted, but I believe I am going to have to try Eugene's suggestion to bump up the IdleConnectionTimeout. I should have probably specified my settings were correct in my original post to keep you all from having to rehash settings to a post, since improper settings are usually the culprit. The accounts are set to localhost, port 110 and security settings are None and Password sent insecurely. I even tried the use of 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost, since on my system for some programs localhost doesn't seem to work right but 127.0.0.1 will. I wonder if the Mail Scanner module in Avast, my antivirus, might not be the culprit, although I wouldn't think so since it shows 110 as being designated as the mail port. So thanks to everyone for their posts and Eugene for the tip about bumping up the Timeout setting.
Unfortunately, the tip about bumping network.ftp.idleConnectionTimeout: to 10000 didn't seem to work either. I even tried resetting the server ports above 1000 since WebMail said that some OS's block ports below 1000, even though I know that Vista isn't blocking those ports because I was able to use the extension just fine to access a yahoo account and the mail from that account came through just fine. It seems like it isn't getting past sending the login information to hotmail, and is freezing up at that point. Any other ideas? Any error logs this would generate that I could post here or send to someone to look at which would help? If there are error logs, how would I get in to them to remove any sensitive information before posting/sending them?
