First there is the Error Console that you can check under tools.

Then there is the log files generated by webmail. They will to be
enabled under the Webmail add-on. They will contain your email
addresses and passwords so either edit them before posting here on the
forum or you can send them directly to Webmail Author; his address is
listed in his profile. To edit the files you can use any text editor
(Here I use Wordpad) just remember to save the file when exiting. The
will be located in the path that you designated in the webmail add-on.

Since this is a Hotmail issue he will need of course the Hotmail logs.
Zip them up as they can rather large otherwise. When emailing the
Webmail Author give a note of the problem that your are having, the TB
Version, Webmail extension, and Hotmail extension numbers  as he does
receives several emails daily and this will help him pin down the
problem.

One note when you are through generating the log files turn this
feature back off as it will continuously generate files that really
eat up your hard drive space.
