Good question - had to test it. 

   - "Hosting" the files in the teams files area and open/operating it 
   normally - no, can't get that to work.
   - "Hosting" the file in OneDrive / SharePoint as .aspx, then adding it 
   as a *tab* in teams and working normally - yes, can confirm this works for 
   me.
