I think with Google Drive a direct synchronization is possible. if you
install the drive on your machine. It will then sync with the cloud. See

Probably not in the case of google drive (see my sentence above) but you
correctly identified the main obstacle that exists when using github.
You always have to "push" changes.

In case of tiddlyspot, I think it is really nice but I am not well
acquainted with it. Better wait for a response from Mat to your
question, he once helped me out with tiddlyspot setup as well ;)

Just to mention two projects that might be related to your question:

  * I think Jeremy once worked on a dropbox solution that synchronizes,
    not sure what the current state is though.
  * Danielo also worked on a way to sync files with Google drive where
    each tiddler becomes a document in the drive - also not sure of the
    current state of his work.
