(a) I'm no longer with Sympatico, and that change is older than my
membership in the pool; (b) you may note that each of those Sympatico
hosts is using only one source of chime; (c) I see no time-related name
in the DNS (eg, ntp.openface.ca).

I see no reason to think they support customers getting chime from
those machines (ie, if it breaks for someone they won't care) and, as
if that weren't reason enough, additional reason (only one upstream
each) to think I don't want their chime anyway.

It probably isn't, would be my guess; I expect it's there for their own
use, so they have relatively accurate time in their logs. (It wouldn't
surprise me if they'd prefer to set it up in a way that just gets time,
never providing chime to anyone, and either made a mistake or didn't
find an easy way to do that with the software they're using.)

If they meant it for customers, I would expect (a) at least three
sources of chime, projbably more, and (b) a name like ntp.sympatico.ca
in the DNS. (Interestingly enough, time.sympatico.ca exists as a node
in the DNS, but has no RRs; I have been unable to find any sub-node
which exists.)

I don't get what this hammering on "save the world" is, as though you
thought we (TINW) actually felt that way about it. I can only assume
you're trying to ridicule our position rather than actually find
something wrong with it, which leads me to think I'm either feeding a
troll or "discussing" religion with a religious zealot, neither of
which is worth continuing.
