(a) I'm no longer with Sympatico, and that change is older than my membership in the pool; (b) you may note that each of those Sympatico hosts is using only one source of chime; (c) I see no time-related name in the DNS (eg, ntp.openface.ca). (It wouldn't surprise me if they'd prefer to set it up in a way that just gets time, never providing chime to anyone, and either made a mistake or didn't find an easy way to do that with the software they're using.) If they meant it for customers, I would expect (a) at least three sources of chime, projbably more, and (b) a name like ntp.sympatico.ca in the DNS. (Interestingly enough, time.sympatico.ca exists as a node in the DNS, but has no RRs; I have been unable to find any sub-node which exists.) > so therefore we need the pool to save the world.
