Nobody is removing the tcc autotools build system, if that's worrying anyone. Adding Cmake is useful to me, maybe others. Use whatever build system you like.
For a similar reason i've pulled in linux-2.4 back into maintenance, since when linux-5 got injected a transitive dependency towards c++, because there's no known compiler which could digest various C11 features, other than those which are implemented in c++ nowadays: gcc and llvm.
Can you be specific what code constructs cause breakage? What would tcc need to implement to support linux-5?
