Hello As a newcomer to OpenERP looking to implement it at a real UK GB English company, I can say that some of the English used in 5.0 is really off putting to native English speakers.
It's amazing how newcomers to any application will judge it by its look and feel rather than the substance behind it, at least to start with. OpenERP looks a very comprehensive application, but its amateurish approach to English will alienate some of its potential customers. The worst case for me is the Tiny word, 'planify'. In 40 years I have never come across this. I have spoken to colleagues and we jest about the grammar and use of this word. I guess it just means 'to plan' but it is in my mind, one of the worst cases of Tiny's wordism. I hope this word can be removed from OpenERP and the documentation as it appears so often, and is just so wrong ... One of the first things I considered doing when looking at trying OpenERP was how we can change some of the labelling. Granted different companies will use different terminology in their companies, but using made up words (at least in English) like 'planify', would cause some hilarity and confusion where I'm hoping to implement OpenERP.
