As long as we're on the topic, may I ask a follow-up question? Let's say I get home and want to watch some program immediately, but TiVo is already recording something I have requested. Can I put TiVo in the Standby mode and watch the program I want to see (using RF bypass), while TiVo continues to record the program it was recording? Sorry if this is obtuse, but it occurred to me while reading your response.
