I had the chicken pox when I was five. We had patients coming into our clinic in horrible pain with the shingles. A few weeks before TM, I had what I thought was shingles on my back up near my shoulder. It was along the nerve path and was a constant pain, burning, and itch.
When I was in ICU at Harborview in Seattle, that was one of the things the neuro asked about. He admitted he just didn't know anything about TM but was doing a quick study on it while I was there.
