Well, guess I'll jump in momentarily...the fact remains that this list has been around for eons, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with posting things that might be on our personal side.  As long as those things aren't...say...the kind of personal things that ppl really DON'T want to know about, there's nothing wrong with it.
I posted to the list when I found out I had cancer back in 1998.  I think that falls in these lines.  I wrote it to the list to let them know I'd be taking a break from online and to let those I knew PERSONALLY on the list in one email rather than a ton.
Fact remains is that a lot of the people on here, while we tend to go off topic a LOT, are all TMNT fans yes, but you;ve got to understand that a lot of us come in here because we all share an interest...and thus a lot of us bond.
I'm sorry, Ludwig, that you feel indifferent to these things, and it may come from you being so far away or from other reasons, but you've got to realize that other people on this list don't feel the same way.  You've a right to bring your problems to light, but don't make it seem as if somebody's doing something wrong just for telling the list a parent or a friend died.  Hell, for all y'know, they may not WANT a response.  Sometimes people just need to tell others to get it off their chest.

Anyway, yeah, gonna ... draw or something.

Look, maybe I need to say an apology for posting a personal thing in my life but I thought it was okay.  That's what a lot of people do on here.  It was mostly a 'current events' post.  I really didn't expect replies because nobody knew Mom O'Leno like we did.  I know, I'm one who always points out we should stick to the regular TMNT topic because that's one of the rules of the list.  Does this mean GreenWillow shouldn't have told everyone about Dawn's Mom?  Or what about Mikey/Quartermane mentioning his grandfather?  Sorry, to use those as examples but the point is no one went gave them a hard time when those topics were posted.  I figured we were more of a family to listen to all kinds of topics, even death ones.  Okay, Ludwig, if it makes you (and everyone) feel better, I'll never discuss anymore personal things in my life again unless it's TMNT-related.  That's the best solution I can come up with to please the entire world.

Brinatello  *sings along with Easier Said Than Done*  Hey, I recover easily sometimes.  These are good songs.  lol.
