Sorry. I found it slightly funny that you reacted like that on general critique
of part of a design idea. It's nok like I made any final decisions, I just said
that, while I didn't actually see the result, I don't think I will like it,
from the description. I am not talking about how the new tab looks, but just
that fact that there is going to be a new tab with these things in them. No
matter if the contents of the tab looks awesome, I find the idea of adding a
tab with the reverse "primary-secondary" ordering than the other tabs in the
same view, a bit problematic.

Sure, it's not optimal in all respects, but I do kind of like it mostly. But I
am not arguing we shouldn't change it, just commenting on a particular change.

I agree, although I do turn on and off unknown files quite a lot, but rarely
anything else. But then why not a menu? Sure you would need to go there six
times to change everything, but there could be an entry for the default set,
for instance, and people won't change things very often.

Yes, but they are at least not grouped with other things that have a different
scope. But yes, their placement is not good, I agree.

Yes, I am concerned with the change of scope mostly, not the information we
could have there. More (potential) information is a good thing :)

No, choices in the file list generally affect the tabs to the right (although
hunk selection goes both ways), wereas this would be the other way around.

Yes, a dialog is no good either. I like the menu... maybe.. I would have to see
it, I think.

Again, I don't doubt the fortunes of the notebook, but its context. I'll look
at it tomorrow, though, to come up with a posterior oppinion.
