I imported the patch today and had a look. It looked pretty much as I expected, and my original objection, that it's not good to pyt options in the right pane which is otherwise only used for viewing and sub-selecting hunks, still applies.
Putting it in the left pane (in another tab) is better, IMHO, but still would look quite odd. I vote for a menu, maybe a context menu on the checkmark column if that's possible (and with some 'common sets' as we talked about), or just letting them stay where they are, maybe moving them onto a single line if resolution permits it. /Sune ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
