Lets get real. Consumers of mass market products have low ability to
tell good MP3 from lossless RedBook.  And good RedBook can sound
seriously good, but most stuff suffers from Loudness Wars.

The prime benefit of 24/96 is that it is sold as audiophile, so they
tone down the Loudness Wars.

24/192 is just specmanship, aka  marketing fluff.
