AFAIK, the USB spec says it's 500 mA, and the Touch already allows up
to 750 mA.
You can't seriously ask Logitech to handle design flaws in other
vendors' devices when they're already 50% over spec-ed, can you?

BTW, I'm using a 500GB "Little Disk" from LaCie, and it worked out of
the box.
