Well I tried it out, unfortunately it won't work, the audiodir value in the server.prefs file gets overwritten every time the server starts. And on top of that I was wrong in another aspect, the "music folder" access does only let you go to the tree pointed at by the audiodir. The only way I can think to get around this is a very strange mess. You have an SD card with one song in it. You load the SD card, TinySBS starts up, scans it etc. You then plug in the USB drive, since the server is already running on the SD card it won't start up on the USB drive. Then log onto the touch and create a link from the SD card to the USB drive. The "music folder" should now follow the link to the USB drive without scanning it. The database file gets put on the SD card. It might work. I have to scare up an SD card to try this.
